General Information


Where is Blue Walleye Outpost located?

Blue Walleye Outpost is situated deep in the Boreal Forest on Lac Achepabanca, Quebec. We are a remote drive-in fishing and hunting camp, with a final one-mile boat ride required to reach the outpost.


What types of accommodations do you offer?

We provide fully furnished housekeeping cabins with:
✔ Flushing toilets & running water
✔ Propane fridges & cook stoves
✔ Solar power for electricity
Guests must bring their own bedding, food, and personal supplies.


How do I get to the outpost?

We are a 2-hour drive from Senneterre, Quebec.
With a  1-mile boat ride across Lac Achepabanca to reach the camp.

 Directions are listed on our contact page  will also be provided upon booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept:
✔ E-transfers
✔ Credit cards
✔ Cash payments

 A40% deposit is required to secure your booking. ( Non Refundable )


What is your cancellation policy?

❌ Deposits are non-refundable but may be transferred to a future booking.
📞 Contact us as soon as possible if your plans change.

What fish species can I catch?

Our waters are home to:
✔ Blue Walleye
✔ Northern Pike 


Do I need a fishing license?

Yes. All guests must purchase a Quebec fishing license before arrival.
Licenses can be obtained in Senneterre, Quebec.


What hunting opportunities are available?

We offer:
✔ Black Bear Hunts – Spring & fall hunting seasons
✔ Group Moose Hunts – Exclusive moose hunting territories
✔ Grouse Hunting – Upland bird hunting in the fall
Hunts must be booked in advance.


Do I need a hunting license?

 Yes. All hunters require the appropriate Quebec hunting licenses and permits, which must be purchased before arrival.


Camp Amenities & Packing List


Is there electricity at the camp?

Yes, we use solar power and a generator for back up  electricity.
Tip: Bring a backup battery pack for small electronics.


Is there cell service or WiFi at the camp?

Limited satellite internet is available though there is No cell service in the area.


What should I bring with me?

 

 Essential Packing List:

✔ Sleeping bag or bedding (sheets & blankets) & pillows
✔ Bath towels & washcloths
✔ Food & drinks (pack enough for your stay, including coolers for storage)
✔ Fishing & hunting gear (rods, reels, tackle, firearms, ammunition, etc.)
✔ Valid fishing/hunting licenses & permits
✔ Life jackets (PFDs) – Required by law for boat passengers
✔ Personal toiletries & medications
✔ Bug spray & sunscreen
✔ Rain gear & warm clothing (weather can change quickly)
✔ Headlamp or flashlight & extra batteries
✔ Pocket knife or multi-tool
✔ Small first aid kit
✔ Camera or binoculars (for scenic views & wildlife watching)
✔ Backpack for day trips
✔ Garbage bags (for waste disposal & wet gear storage)


Are boats provided?

Yes! We provide 14' aluminum boats with 9.9 hp 4-stroke motors for each group.

Is the outpost family-friendly?

 Yes! Families and small groups are welcome. Our cabins are comfortable, and there are plenty of outdoor activities for all ages.


Is alcohol allowed at the camp?

Yes, guests may bring their own alcohol.
Please drink responsibly and respect other guests.


Are pets allowed?

Yes, we allow dogs!
Owners must keep them under control and clean up after them.


Is there a store or bait shop nearby?

 No, there are no stores at the outpost.
The nearest supplies (bait, food, fuel, etc.) are available in Senneterre.
